We are a welcoming bedroom community that is centrally located in Iowa. We are a short 20 to 30 minute driving distance to Ames, Nevada, Marshalltown, Ankeny, Altoona and Des Moines. We offer our citizens many benefits that will fulfill your lifestyle here in Maxwell. Our town takes pride in our heritage and our children within our school system. Our parks within the city attract many of our local children as well as adults, by providing  a safe environment for play and equipment to entertain them for hours. Our residents utilize these parks for exercise, Frisbee golf, sand volleyball, slow-pitch softball, reunions, soccer, baseball, and softball games. Many horse enthusiasts like to test and hone the skills of their horses and themselves at the equestrian area of our west park.
